Ivan is a serial entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of several successful IT
companies with solution deployments for Banks, Financial Institutions and
Government for over three decades. He is well known for his innovative
skills in
innovating and deploying Banking and Payment Solutions, mobile government
solutions, mobile applications, mentoring and advising startups and college students.
A thorough entrepreneur who has successfully traversed
the entrepreneurial
landscape from setting up a startup to exits multiple times.
His first company Synectics was an innovator for branch automation and Internet banking in the 90s and was one of the earliest IT Product organization to be acquired by Logica Plc, a UK FTSE 250 company in 1998. His second company Ducont was the earliest company in mobile banking & payments in early 2000 and was acquired by a public listed company in India. He has mentored several startups and was the founding Charter Member and Past President of TiE Dubai. He also founded Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE) to promote Entrepreneurship among individuals from the Kanara region in Karnataka, India.
He has promoted Entrepreneur cells in several colleges – St. Aloysius Institute of Management & IT in Mangalore, Christ University and St. Josephs Institute of Management in Bangalore. KE conducts Entrepreneur courses (run by entrepreneurs) for Christ University and St. Josephs Institute of Management in Bangalore as part of their syllabus.
